Cheng Ho recess today :D
Okay, back to OBS.
Day one
64 lucky us went last week, and we first landed on Camp 2. There were trust games and basic belaying. Then we built a tent, cooked the rice, luncheon meat, beans and peanuts! Rachel and i were the food i/cs. LOL. Cheng Ho has Mauricette! (: We made a day journal as well out of the ration food boxes! Haha
Day two
Kayaked from Camp 2 to 1. Did wet exits and capsize drills. Changed into dry clothes, pitched tent and dried the wet clothes. Went to do the height element. One hour plus of safety stuff, how stultifying! I tried the height element first, and the third segment was definitely the scariest. It's like at the middle, you suddenly bounce. :O And Jingwen was belaying so well, it was so tight that i could barely walk across! Only a few tried, as it seemed as if it was going to rain. :( Quite a pity for those who didn't try. We had our meals at the residential course canteen! Lovely. Performed our lovely Cheng Ho play for Battuta! Kenny Cheng Ho and Princess Mauricette <3
Day three
Went on our land expedition. We had to carry the heavy heavy bags of much stuff and trek around the island - let's say 11.5km! And moreover, the 'smart' me managed to sprain my extremely weak ankle at the beginning of the long trek. We reached 4 checkpoints the fastest but we could only find 2 quotations! The rest are lost. :(
I forgot the first quotation, it had something to do with difficulty and willingness. The second however, was The same sun the melts the wax hardens the clay.
Walked to that night's campsite and we reached really early. That campsite is :( No proper toilets - it was the rocks and the beach la! Maggi noodles, sardine and ikan bilis for dinner. There was also nightwatch, and i still have no idea why we had to do that. But it was fun though we were so tired and hot. It was entertaining seeing the Henderson pple packing up LOL, especially the instructors chasing them.
The campsite had wild boars and dogs, and while walking to the campsite i heard this sound. I imagined it was a wild boar and when i turned around, it was KENNNYYY!! Oh my god, scare me already stilll laugh so gay. Grrr. Hawhaw
Day four
Grand sea expedition. We kayaked for about 13.5km! Rachel and I did so well, we had to take turns rowing most of the time as we were tooo fast. Hahahahahahah. One eats, one rows :D Reached back Camp 2 quite early, a good time of 4pm? Went to bathe, while Rachel and Jingwen pitched the tents. Felt so goood to be clean (: Cooked rice, tuna, button mushrooms, and currychicken! Ate on the beach, seeing the waves just in front of us --> Lovely.
Packed up the store, and the food i/cs gave out the remaining foood. Hhahaaha, it was something like a lucky draw. And all watches except one slept in the kayak shed as it was raining. Oh our beautiful tents that was pitched were wasted!
Day five/Last day :( :( :(
Had a one and a half hour long debrief the moment we woke up? Didn't wash up at all! Which meant, stinky breath evryone had. Eeeewww. Saw the sunrise. Then we continued packing up.
Went 'shopping'. Uhm, bought the OBS shirt <3 And Estee kindly bought from me one which i bought and regrretted. (:
Went to J8 with Peiting and Xueting after that. And met Lynn.
Yeah, that's about it. We went with Mayflower and Henderson. And OMG, the Henderson pple are all so hamsup! Tsk.
Mauricette, Chendol and Kenny, Bah Kut Teh rocks! <3
